Kudwa Safeguarding Policy

At Kudwa, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our beneficiaries, staff, and volunteers. This policy outlines our approach to safeguarding, including our mechanisms for preventing abuse and exploitation, and our procedures for reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns.

1. Prevention

We strive to create a safe environment for everyone involved in our activities. We provide regular training and clear guidelines to all staff and volunteers to prevent any form of abuse or exploitation.

2. Reporting

We encourage anyone who has a safeguarding concern to report it immediately. Reports can be made confidentially to info@kudwa.org. We assure you that all reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

3. Response

Upon receiving a report, we will take immediate action to ensure the safety of the person(s) affected. This may include reporting the concern to relevant authorities, providing support to the victim, and taking disciplinary action against the perpetrator, up to and including termination of employment or involvement with Kudwa.

4. Support and Care

We are committed to supporting and caring for those who have experienced abuse or exploitation. This includes direction to counselling services, legal advice, and other assistance as needed.

5. Review

We regularly review our safeguarding policy and procedures to ensure they remain effective and in line with best practices.

At Kudwa, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse or exploitation. We believe that everyone has the right to be safe, and we are committed to upholding this right in all our activities.
