ASOCIACIÓN KUDWA
Building an intercultural COLLECTIVE IDENTITY
For a diverse community where ALL migrants an refugees can thrive
Asociación Kudwa is a Barcelona-based non-profit organization dedicated to fostering social cohesion between migrants and their new communities. We achieve this through community capacity building, intercultural encounters, and advocacy work

COMMUNITY BUILDING
We believe in the power of community. We aim to create a supportive platform where migrants and refugees can come together, learn from each other, and find mutual support.
We do this through training programs, information sessions, expertise exchange, mentorship etc

NARRATIVE CHANGE
We are committed to fostering spaces that are not only created by migrants and refugees but are also open and welcoming to everyone. We believe in changing the narrative that portrays migrants and refugees as passive beneficiaries in their host communities. Instead, we see them as active citizens, capable of contributing to and shaping their new communities.
We do this through Tabadol, Intercultural Karaoke Solidario, Cultural Events and more

ADVOCACY
We are passionate about advocating for the rights and needs of our community. We believe in raising awareness about the struggles of migrants and refugees, and we strive to ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes. We see migrants and refugees as equally valuable partners in the creation of society.
We do this through partnerships, participation in local, national and European forums and projects, and training new advocates and more
